LeFlore County Express Soccer will start its fall season on Sept. 10. Registration closes on Friday. The league draft is Aug. 25. The coaches meeting will be Aug. 29. Practices begin the next day. To register players and coaches, visit leflorecountysoccer.com.

The Brave the Mud Run will be Saturday at the LeFlore County Fairgrounds. Starting waves include competitive runners at 8 a.m., somewhat competitive at 8:10 a.m., sort of competitive at 8:15 a.m. and untimed fun loving at 8:20 a.m. The cost is $45, except for fun loving participants, who get $5 off. The Poteau Bandits will host their youth football jamboree Saturday at Costner Stadium.

The LeFlore County Bass Club will have an open tournament on Saturday at Ward’s Landing on Wister Lake from safelight to noon. The cost is $50 per angler. There’s a $10 pay-in for second-place big bass.
