Property, equipment on LC Commissioners’ agenda for Monday morning meeting

The key categories of topics will be property and equipment for the LeFlore County Commissioners to discuss in their weekly meeting at 9 a.m. Monday at the LeFlore County Court House.

The board will look to approve a bid notice submitted by LeFlore County Treasurer April Caughern regarding the sale of county property in Poteau Township from her county resale event from earlier this month.

As for equipment, the County Commissioners will look to approve resolutions to dispose of officer equipment from the LeFlore County District Attorney’s office, look to approve the declaration of surplus for a 1997 Ford one-ton puck-up truck as submitted by District 3 County Commissioner Craig Olive’s highway department which will allow the property to be sold or traded — which will then in turn lead to the board looking to approve a resolution and bid notice to advertise to accept sealed bids regarding the sale of said 1997 Ford one-ton pick-up.

The Commissioners will look to approve an agreement between LeFlore County and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) in regards to railroad safety improvements to Hodgen Road. This agenda item was tabled at last Monday morning’s meeting because Olive, the LeFlore County Commissioners board chairman, wanted to find out some answers to questions he had on the matter.

The board will look to approve Julie Dale as a receiving officer for LeFlore County Assessor Gaylon E. Freeman.

The County Commissioners are expected to approve purchase orders, payroll, bonds, monthly fee reports, transfer of appropriations, blanket purchase orders, contract labor/service agreements and the two ongoing bridge construction projects — one a mile east of Shady Point over the Poteau River and the other on Brazil Creek Road south of Oklahoma State Highway 31 and west of Shady Point.

The board also is expected to approve any old or new business and/or new pay estimates dealing with the final phase of the Conser Road Project.
